CA Proposition 65

We use Stainless Steel hardware which is an ALLOY containing both Chromium and Nickel. It should be noted that stainless steel
is commonly used in medical implants.
OEHHA notes that nickel alloys are distinct from nickel compounds, and are not included in the Proposition 65 listing of nickel compounds . Further, as indicated in Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations Section 12707(b)(5), for purposes of Proposition 65, nickel and nickel compounds present no significant risk of cancer by the route of ingestion.
Chromium-Hexavalent (Prop 65) is a vaporous form of Chromium and NOT present in the alloy.
Carbon Black (colorant) is used to produce the black material for our product and is fully encapsulated in the polymer matrix. The listing only pertains to airborne, unbound carbon black particles of respirable size. (CA OEHHA)
